BW Parliament

Botswana’s National Assembly is located in the midst of a government enclave of buildings housing government ministries, the House of Chiefs, and State Archives surrounding a war memorial and a statue of Botswana’s first President Sir Seretse Khama. As the only African country, Botswana has a clean record of free and fair elections in the post-colonial period after its independence in 1965 and boasts a vibrant multi-party system.
