Introduction

A parliament building that changes its nation in the course of construction is an architectural curio: Louis I. Kahn’s monumental, additive and highly geometric building was initially designed as a parliament building of East Pakistan; the plans were revised and slightly modified following the independence of Bangladesh in 1971.
